We had an amazing time at The Lazy Mare By The Water! The communication with the hosts was effortless and they even allowed us to arrive early. When we arrived, the key was conveniently waiting for us along with a bottle of prosecco and some milk. The location was perfect - peaceful and with stunning views. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and well-equipped, with everything we needed including a generous supply of wood for the hot tub. The fridge was larger than expected and the kitchenette had all the necessary appliances. We were impressed by the hot water supply, as it was instantly hot and we didn't have to wait. The bed was comfortable and the towels were already provided.

The Lazy Mare is my go-to place in Rugeley. I always come back without regrets. Staff helped find a local taxi. Everything I need is here - free parking, electric kettle, cycling, fishing, golf course. No pets allowed, no smoking. Coming back for Easter!

The value for money at Lazy Mare By The Water was excellent! The room, or should I say shepherds hut, was cozy and had all the amenities we needed. The location was stunning with breathtaking scenery, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The host was amazing, always quick to respond to our questions and even provided a bottle of Prosecco and milk upon arrival. We loved the hot tub and the adorable visits from the friendly dog and two cats.
The breakfast option could use improvement with regards to the hot water in the shower, as it only lasted a couple of minutes. However, it wasn't freezing cold either, so it didn't bother us too much.
